Cinnamon Swirl Apple Oatmeal Bake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 scoop Cinnamon Swirl protein powder
  • 1 ½ cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish (9x9 inch works well).

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and honey or maple syrup until combined.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, Cinnamon Swirl protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined. Fold in the diced apples, nuts, and raisins if using.

  5. Bake: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool and Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm. For an extra treat, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
